Code of Conduct & Ethics Policy

1. Policy Statement
Global Path is built on a foundation of integrity, professionalism, and student-centric service. This Code of Conduct & Ethics Policy establishes the non-negotiable ethical standards and behavioral expectations for all directors, staff, and representatives of Global Path. It is designed to safeguard the interests of our students, maintain trust with our partner institutions, and uphold the reputation of the consultancy in all our operations.

2. Scope
This policy is binding for all individuals working for or on behalf of Global Path, including full-time, part-time, and contractual employees, as well as any affiliated agents or representatives.

3. Core Ethical Standards
All members of the Global Path team are required to adhere to the following fundamental standards in every aspect of their work:

A. Honesty & Transparency:

  • Provide accurate, clear, and truthful information to students and parents regarding universities, courses, admission chances, costs, visa processes, and scholarship opportunities.
  • Do not misrepresent a student’s credentials in any application material.
  • Clearly communicate the limitations of our services and never guarantee outcomes (admission, visas, scholarships) that are decided by third-party authorities.

B. Confidentiality:

  • Strictly maintain the confidentiality of all student information, academic records, and financial details as per the Privacy & Data Protection Policy (Policy 1).
  • Discuss student information only with authorized personnel directly involved in that student’s case and never in public or unsecured settings.

C. Avoidance of Conflicts of Interest:

  • Staff must declare any personal or financial interest in a particular educational institution, service provider, or testing center that could influence their guidance to a student.
  • Primary recommendations must always be made in the best interest of the student, not for personal gain, undisclosed commissions, or preferential treatment from a partner.
  • Staff are prohibited from accepting personal gifts, payments, or favors of significant value from students, parents, or university representatives that could compromise objectivity.

D. Professionalism & Respect:

  • Treat every student, parent, colleague, and partner with dignity, respect, and cultural sensitivity, in alignment with the Anti-Discrimination & Inclusion Policy (Policy 9).
  • Communicate in a timely, courteous, and professional manner at all times, as defined in the Student Communication & Engagement Policy (Policy 2).
  • Present oneself in a manner that reflects positively on Global Path’s reputation.

E. Compliance & Integrity in Partnerships:

  • Engage only with accredited, reputable educational institutions and scholarship bodies.
  • Adhere strictly to the rules and application guidelines set forth by universities, embassies, and scholarship boards. Any form of application fraud or document falsification is strictly prohibited.
  • Refrain from making defamatory remarks about competitors and focus on promoting Global Path’s strengths and values.

4. Gifts & Hospitality
While customary business courtesy is acknowledged, any gift, hospitality, or benefit offered or received must:

  • Be of nominal value.
  • Not be capable of being misconstrued as a bribe or inducement.
  • Be declared to a supervisor if there is any uncertainty about its appropriateness.

5. Reporting & Accountability

  • Staff have a responsibility to report any suspected breaches of this Code of Conduct to the designated Ethics Officer or a senior manager.
  • Global Path is committed to investigating all reports confidentially and without retaliation against the reporting individual.
  • Adherence to this code is a condition of employment. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or contract, and may involve legal proceedings depending on the severity of the breach.

6. Policy Acknowledgment & Training

  • All staff will be required to read, understand, and sign an acknowledgment of this Code of Conduct upon joining Global Path and during annual reviews.
  • Regular ethics training will be conducted to reinforce these standards and address complex ethical dilemmas.

7. Policy Review
This Code of Conduct is a living document and will be reviewed annually to ensure it remains relevant and effective in guiding ethical behavior within the organization.
